HI, apologies if this issue has been previously discussed. My P8 Lite phone will not connect to either wifi or Bluetooth. The buttons are greyed-out and cannot be turned on. This just happened today, it has been fine up to now. I tried a soft reset but the problem persists. My phone is about 3 years old. Any help will be much appreciated.

Hi @Jessica ! I'm sorry to hear your P8 Lite won't connect to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. As you mentioned that both of them are greyed-out, this seems to be a problem with the antenna. If you already tried factory resetting your device and the issue persisted, this will require sending your device to our service center to have it inspected and repaired. As device is out of warranty (as you mentioned is 3 years old), I would suggest you contact our support time for further instructions. You can find our contact details in this site: https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/support/

For backing up your data, I recommend you have a look at the following post: https://uk.community.huawei.com/other-smartphones-8/how-to-make-a-back-up-180/index1.html

I hope this information helps you! We will be here if you need further assistance.

Have a great day!

My wifi and bluetooth stopped working a year ago, blue tooth did not work at all and wifi displayed bad signal on wifi networks even when standing by the router, attemping to connect ending up with different error messages.

A software reset did not help, tried it several times, still bad signal on wifi and could not connect, same with bluetooth.

Used the phone for 6 months with cellular network only, tried it a couple of time same result.
When i suddenly after living with without wifi for a year just tried wifi again beacuse i was going to show a friend the error message when connecting.
Activated wifi full signal and it connected, Bluetooth working also!
And i have now been using wifi and bt for 3 months with no problem what so ever.

There has been alot of post about broken wifi / bt chip.
Im now sure that this was software related and not a hardware problem, what caused the issue and what solved it i dont know.

Hi Noname00,

Glad to see that it's working again!

@Jessica are you still having these issues?

Hi @Miauz,

If you have tried all the troubleshooting steps above, I am afraid the last step would be to have the device sent into our authorized SBE service center for an inspection by our professional engineers.

To facilitate this, within the UK region we offer, at the present time, a postal repair service. A booking for this service can be made via mail, chat or call at https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/support/.
For the booking the agent will need a bit of your personal information such as: Full Name, Address, Post Code, Serial Number of the device.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,
Max
It would be great if someone else could try their P8 Lite again.
Its a great phone even do its almost 4 years old.
I have the same issue with my P8 lite, bought in 2016, after the warranty expires the wifi stopped working.
Will it be a chance?
Anyway i resolved in this way. I found that the wifi works properly only when the battery charge level is under 60% or 50%. Over this battery power values it is impossible to connect with the wifi.
Is it possible that there is not an alternative solution, that is not spending money to send it to assistance?
