Hi.
I have a p20 Pro.
How do I connect a gaming controller to it. I've tried wired and Bluetooth.
Both with ps4 controller and 3rd party controller.
Neither work

In regards to your inquiry, in order to connect your gaming controller to your device, you will require to purchase an OTG - Supported (maximum output current 1 A/ 5 V during reverse power supply).
