On the p20 pro, I was showing a customer how easy it was to turn the store air conditioning on and off, up and down, she was blown away (not from the air conditioner)
Bought one as she loved the demo and all my team show that to all customers,

Not because everyone needs this Funtion, but because its something different and different sells.

I used a similar technique recently. In our shopping centre outside our store is a nail and brow bar, in there they have a small TV for customers to watch while they wait. I was showing a customer my P20 Pro and using all my usual sale techniques such as showing them how well the camera zooms and the quality of the images when I decided to show them how an IR blaster works.

I booted up the smart controller app and tuned it into the model of TV I knew they used in the bar. I then said to the customer "watch this" as I turned off the TV. He found it absolutely hilarious as the workers inside repeatedly turned it back on as I kept turning it off and he decided there and then to get one, saying it would be brilliant to prank his mates with 😂

One of my favourite accessories for my P20pro was the Huawei Selfie stick with built in Tripod, I found this made taking the perfect photo so so easy, especially when trying to capture moments of low light.

Have a look at the photo below

all the best

The P20 Pro has a handheld camera mode called Night mode. This mode takes amazing shots at night or even indoors works well when taking shots of National Trust houses for example.

Night mode opens the shutter between 3 to 6 seconds. If someone happens to walk in front of you whilst taking the photo, dont move, as its quite likely that person wont appear eg example below

On my P20 Pro I have decided to keep the notch as it doesn't bother me like some people.
Well I found a great app to use that incorporates the notch.

It is basically what you see.
The notch becomes your battery indicator.
The coloured notch drops with usage, easy to spot at a glance!
Green, orange and red when in use and blue when charging!

Can clearly see I need to charge phone soon!

Its free via the Play Store!

Hi Rick,

Thanks for sharing! I moved your topic to this tips & tricks thread. 🙂
Nice idea, cant get it to sit right under the notch on my p20 pro though, ideally I'd like it quite close to the notch, what settings did you use ?

@Rick F did you see @Antonybaker's question? 😃
@Antonybaker I just used the standard settings that came with the app. Will try to find out for you if you can change notch

I love being able to have two apps open on the same screen. Great for keeping the Nest Camera app open at the top of the screen so I can keep an eye on my daughter's room at bedtime, while going through my emails.

If you've not tried it before, simply scroll up with two fingers from the bottom of the screen. You can adjust how much real estate the two apps get by moving the line in the middle.
Hey guys,

So what do you think about the P20 camera? I am personally a little underwhelmed.

Hi @Rick F . The battery meter closes if I close the app. How could I keep it on and close the app?

Cheers
