I've installed the ebay app but I can't use it, I'm getting a message that it needs updating but I can't update it in app store, any ideas? Tia

I had the exact same problem and this sent to me by ebay/Google worked for me.

First delete the eBay app

Fix problems with Google Play Services

Step 1: Make sure Google Play Services is up to date

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Settings app [img]https://lh6.ggpht.com/snsP5-ODgFFqVJhxS5La7OAqsAmO-GwYWWERMFPW5R4MXcxp0zUZ5Bq6lRFqrvk92lA=w18-h18-rwa[/img].
  2. Tap Apps & notifications [img]https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/nHFGZ_9xjCh-mP83zMzXQVJF5VYf2n6kwoBIxB2zv3V4VPT4gNTtBye8lYznogLqLPY=h18-rwa[/img] See all apps.
  3. Scroll down and tap Google Play Services.
  4. Scroll down and tap App Details.
  5. Tap Update or Install. If you donโ€™t see these options, follow the steps in Step 2 and Step 3.

Step 2: Clear cache & data from Google Play Services

  3. Scroll down and tap Google Play Services.

  7. Wait for 5 minutes, then try your download again.

Step 3: Clear the cache & data of the Play Store

This gives the app a fresh start and can help fix issues.
