How can I uninstall Huawei Wallet - it came with the last system update

After the last big system update of my Mate 10 Pro the Huawei Wallet was installed on my device.
While I am measuring my blood sugar level with my phone by NFC as I the wallet breaks the software. Ususally by puting my phone next to the NFC chip on my arm (Freestyle Libre) the software opens and the bood sugar ist shown.
After the Wallet was installed and I put the phone next to the NFC chip on my arm the question permanently pops up if I want to open it with Wallet - this breaks the freestyle libre software and I cannot measure my blood sugar any longer. I dont need the Wallet and I will never use it so I need a way of removing it.

I although thout about buying a new device - the P30 Pro would be awesome - but with the Wallet installed I need to go for an other company (Apple---Samsung). Please help me disabling or removing this piece of s**t otherwise I need to swap phone to be able to see my sugar level.

Hi,

both options are not working. The uninstall button is greyed out and by long pressing the app I don`t have the option to uninstall. Also deaktivating the app is greyed out.
The permissions are removed already (I tried this weeks ago) without any success.
Still by using NFC the Wallet App will pop up.
Any other ideas how I can get rid of the app or at least deactivate?

Thx
Gerd

In theory, you should just be able to long press on the app and you'll have a prompt to uninstall it.

Otherwise, Settings --> Apps --> Apps --> Tap on the three little dots on the top right --> Show system processes --> Type in seach bar "Wallet" --> Tap on "Huawei Wallet". There you'll have an uninstall button. If you don't, then you can:

-->Go to App Permissions and untick all
--> Check the "Open by default" settings, see if it is set by default
--> Untick "Write system settings"

Hi @PowerGerd ,

Welcome to the Huawei community. I'm sorry the steps @DRSC Media recommended didn't work for you. I've flagged for the support team to look at this. Hopefully they can help.

Wow that was quick, good job.

Be careful about what else you get rid of it's quite easy to break things, leaving you needing a factory reset.

Okay - thanks for the warning. I´ll be careful and will not touch ADB until the wallet re-appers in the next Huawei update 🙂
