Huawei Health integration with other services

Recently moved to a Huawei Mate20Pro and a Watch GT. Happy with them so far but the biggest issue I'm finding is they just don't play nice with anyone else.

I already use Strava, Garmin, MyFitnessPal and Google FIT. All these integrate with each other so that each has a whole picture of my health and various exercise activities.

Are there any plans to integrate Huawei Health with services such as these?

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this up to us.

I would like to inform you that Huawei Health has some features that are yet to be implemented.

Nevertheless, we aim to make as many features available for the app so you will enjoy a complete service for keeping track of your activity and your status.

I will pass the suggestions to our development team so more features will be provided in a future update.

Best wishes,
Max

No you can't

I have lost my Huawei Health data, by stupid mistake.

However I have most of the data I lost synced in Google Fit.

Does anyone know if I can get the data from Google Fit back to Huawei Health? I couldn’t figure it out.

Thanks

Hear, hear.

I have recently acquired the Huawei Gt watch and find the watch and Huawei Health app very good.

However the inability to at least download an activity as a (.fit, .tcx file) is the single huge point of failure in my mind from Huawei.

I understand, you have your own application to promote 'Huawei Health' which is very good. In the same way that I find the Garmin platform very good when using my Garmin devices. Zwift is also a very good platform when used for the sole purpose of stationary cycling.

Strava is great for its Social features which all of these other devices/platforms sync natively to.

Automatic sync of activities would be very nice but manual export to file would be acceptable to achieve this.

After all Huawei health has no social features so there is not direct competition.

The watch itself is great however it faces being resold due to this simple missing function.

A great shame. Sort it out.

@Danjl the feature USED to work, but hasn't for over a year and nothing from Huawei on getting it resolved, no updates, no nothing.
It seems Huawei have turned into one of those companies that once its taken your money it couldn't give s**t about you or the product you purchased.

Hi all, thanks for your continued feedback. I appreciate it's frustrating when a feature you want/need isn't available. All I can say is I'll do my best to continue to make sure the right folks know your feedback and if I become aware of any changes to the previous update, I'll let you know.

@walkerx Thanks for the heads up , will get a Samsung Active2 today.
I'm waiting to hear if announcement on 15th October from a Google if they will be releasing a watch and if they do what features it has and if wireless charging on it as the charging on Huawei watches is rubbish, I'm just coming up to 2 years for my W2 and past 3 months it ain't charged properly.

If Google don't release a watch then I will be looking at a Samsung watch

I bet this thread will be one of the ones that will not be transfered to the new forum HOME....
@Max @Amy Has been 10 months already, and still no definite solution for this.

Don't you understand that from the 200+ replies in this thread, most have moved out to another brand?

If we give it a 50% of the replies that moved out , it would be 100 and 150$ avg. for watch,

You have just lost $ 15,000 USD , only in this thread.

@ndcast you won't get any satisfactory answer from Huawei regarding the integration into Google, its been over a year (nearly two) since its worked with GF and Huawei haven't done anything.

I have the original W1 and W2 and won't be getting the GT or any other watch from Huawei due to lack of support and integration with Google.

If you've only just got it, send it back as not fit for the purpose you purchased it for and get something from another manufacturer
Hello Any Huawei Rep in here, can we know if this is going anywhere?

I just bought a 200$ watch, and the watch itself seems very well made,
but without integrations is just a "cool watch" , and I imagine plenty of the people on this thread switched to another brand, just because of this issue, something I myself will do if no answer is given here.

@cwpaters no point asking as you won't get.

Only solution is to ditch Huawei and go with another manufacturer.

Huawei, any update for us?

So, today I've sent an email to Unbox Therapy and hope thay make a video about the subjuct so people are informed of the lack of this feature, I also left comments about this topic on video reviews of the new watch gt2 (with link to the petition), hope word gets out to more people.

P.S. I've also made a copy of the topic in case Huawei decides to delete this thread .

Checking the page and implementing the improvements are two different things in my book! The point I was making was it has been highlighted for a considerable time and still no improvement.....

@cwpaters - the page is checked. I am not aware of any further update to this topic than Max's response.

@migueldd what is the Samsung watch like, will link everything back to Google Fit and does it provide HR and Sleep data

Yes , you can link Samsung health wirh google fit. The watch track sleep, stress ,ECG in the future via update. You can install Strava directly in the watch and.other similar apps. You can sync samsung health wity many apps, you can pay with the watch, has very good HR with new sensor,GPS etc..

Is called the best smartwatch if you have Android (the top 1 is Apple watch but if you have an Iphone)

You can see photos and videos on the web to see how the watch looks like "Samsung Galaxy Active 2"

As @Joretogt says, ditch their products. They don't care about their customer base especially UK customers.

Not sure how much longer they'll be selling products in UK but with devices locked out of Google I can't see them selling many.

As I wrote before, ditch the Huawei products (they don't deserve us as customers) and also rate and comment under YouTube reviews etc. so other people don't get screwed over.

P.S. Tonight I'll write to Unbox Therapy YouTube channel, maybe he can make a video on this issue so word gets out to more people.

Huawei, what is happening with this? I'm so close to ditching the watch due to the lack of integration with Strava!! It's really disappointing coz the GT watch really is great!!

It can't be hard to integrate the health app with Strava for example! New GT 2 watch away to be released soon!! Really cannot believe that this is being released and this long standing lack of integration has still not been resolved.

We want answers and the timeline for the implementation.

At the moment I use a Fitbit for my workouts, links easily to Strava. The GT is much better looking though and more reliable in terms of notifications etc, so at the moment I'm running around with two trackers which is silly.

I bought a Garmin Vivoactive 3 last week thinking it could replace the two. Load of crap, screen was rubbish and battery life even worse. I returned in after two days.

Check the Active 2. I think that today is the best watch to pair with an Android phone. Battery 2 complete days whith all features activated, new HR sensor , ECG, good GPS... I think it worth a try.

We can open a thread here for the galaxy 2 active. At least we make this forum useful hahaha

New watch GT 2 model, great hardware but same isolated health app. In a few months Im going to purchase a Samsung Galaxy Active 2 and get rid of mi band 3 pro. Bye huawei...Yes such a shame, in a few weeks the forum will be inundated with more poor souls let down by the watch GT2.

Why don't they listen?

I really think that is an issue with China Goverment or something similar the they want our data and don´t want to share it with any other country.

I have just purchased a Galaxy Active 2 44mm. Arrives on monday and I will give the Huawei Smartband to my wife.

Strava, here we go!! 🙂
