Its UK and on 3. I've spoken to them and they just said it's all Huaweis fault. I even have a screen shot saying they wish they never sold these phones..

Its crazy.

To be honest that's true. It is the worst company in terms of updates.
P20 Pro is my first Huawei phone and the last one. I'm still on November security updates, which is ridiculous.
My son have Samsung Galaxy s7 and his on March 2019 now. And his phone is 3 years old now.
Huawei phones should be banned in UK.

I was checking my latest version tonight.
I was on 9.0.0.153 and there were no updates available.

I used the... Menu to see what options there were and there was one to download the latest full package.

Userlevel 1
Because you have an EU version of the phone, not UK.

Ooooooooooooooooo my word....... This worked...

What is all that about? @Max @Amy this a bug? Why do you need to go into download the latest package? The check for updates button doesn't find anything.

Yep, sorry about the photos in the last post. I deleted them and added them again but it seems they all are there.

I didn't do a check to see if anyone tried this already but hey. It now says I'm up to date.

Now waiting for emui 9.1

I'm glad I had the EU version of the phone. This means it has dual sim and is not reliant on UK network for the updates.

@Max @Amy why are we being given false info eg call support team, they don't want to know or help at all and say it can't be done. Max I even messaged you as another user states in here however I didn't even get a reply. The excuses from Huawei are boundless. Does this mean if God forbid someone gets hit by one of the major known security issues due to updates being behind, Huawei accept responsibility for any financial loss and distress caused?

Enough excuses now, no more off the script answers, someone must be in a position to offer us genuine content, and let's be honest, at this rate your P30 that has been so eagerly awaited isn't going to do as well as you hope with your fans

@Amy this "call our support team" is it actually yielding any results for people getting updates, or just a different way to tell us the same thing...... Wait..... , as yet again we are now 3 months behind on security updates, given recent news of pretty significant security issues in the os I would have expected even the lowly C782 to be a priority right nowHey Mrtigger84 & @All,

I'm sorry to see that you are still waiting on an update. And I get that it can be very frustrating. We are sending you from here to customer support because they can create update requests, if possible. That depends on your devices and what updates are available. That's something we cannot do on the community at the moment.

But what I'm telling you is customer support say they can't create any requests all updates are automatic and nothing they can do about it. Which seems to be evidenced by those that have "requested" an update via message here or email etc and get an answer which is clearly not true eg you'll receive it in 10 days........ Obviously just hoping their imei comes up within that timescale.

The fact that Huawei can't update their handsets more than 10 at a time it seems is shocking, the amount the company has grown very suddenly in the mobile market they should sbe spending on upgrading capacity and support not just dashing out new handsets every 6 months.

Give customers a reason to stay loyal and they will. Treat them like fools and they'll walk.

Why with all this commotion being made by their customers has the issue not been raised to a more senior level and something official announced or improved?

Just leave this here for anyone interested.

"bi monthly updates for all p m and nova series phones"

ALL........not just ones that are easiest to update.

Theseare JUST February updates. Ones we are still outstanding. Being told there isn't any major updates, then that just a minor security update is pending for my device, when Huawei publish this themselves. Just the critical updates is horrendous

This security update includes the CVE announced in the February 2019 Android security bulletin.
Critical:CVE-2018-6271,CVE-2018-11262,CVE-2018-11817,CVE-2019-1986, CVE-2019-1987,CVE-2019-1988,CVE-2019-1991,CVE-2019-1992

High:CVE-2016-6684,CVE-2017-17760,CVE-2018-5268,CVE-2018-5269,CVE-2018-5839,CVE-2018-6267,CVE-2018-6268,CVE-2018-11275,CVE-2018-11280, CVE-2018-11931,CVE-2018-11932,CVE-2018-11935,CVE-2018-13900,CVE-2018-13904,CVE-2018-13905,CVE-2019-1985,CVE-2019-1993,CVE-2019-1994,CVE-2019-1995,CVE-2019-1996,CVE-2019-1997,CVE-2019-1998,CVE-2019-2001

Medium:CVE-2017-18009

Low: none
Already included in previous updates: CVE-2018-10876,CVE-2018-11847,CVE-2018-11888,CVE-2018-12014,CVE-2018-13888,CVE-2018-13889,CVE-2018-18281

Huawei says that security is very important for them but we all knows that this is bul...t.
They are the worst company in terms of updates because they think that they will sell phones anyway so why bother with stupid security updates?
Userlevel 2
I hope they do not stop supporting customers 1 year later, as they did with the p20 PRO

Sorry Huawei 😂😂😂 goodbye c782

I've now moved from my P20 and have a Mate 20 Pro and it would seem that Huawei's software updates may be improving. My P20 (UK version, C782) was stuck on the December update but when setting up the Mate 20 Pro (C432) it installed the Match security updates. Interesting to see if this continues over the coming months especially as the P30/P30 Pro are due to launch soon and may take all of Huawei's attention.

Also I wonder if Huawei have ditched the UK specific software builds they had for the P20/P20 Pro from future models? Is there a C782 version of the Mate 20 Pro for example?

It's purely that you have C432 mate, European, always better for updates anyway. Not sure if there's a C782 mate. You have any issues with notifications at all? I'm currently dealing with no messages etc via data connection when device sleeps and screen off for 15 minutes or more. Seems lot of people are the same on P20 and mate, it's a pie issue

Never more Huawei devices... I wish I could get my money back... I'm going back to Samsung.... Too bad that I bought P20 Pro.... Anyone interested in buying one? Or replace for Samsung?
The EVR-AL00 is on the list of beta enabled devices for emui 9.1, but i can't update, i tried through software update and through beta huawei app. Why that may be?

Hi @Malipes69,

I moved your question to this thread about software updates. Please contact the hotline if you have questions about updates. Sorry I can't be of any help.
So I have heard that the EMUI 9.1 is rolling out to devices in China and the beta is available for other mate 20 Pro devices on EMUI 9.0.1.109. I haven't seen anything about this update yet. I am using an LYA-L09. I find this a bit strange given that the LYA-L09 was one of the first devices to get the EMUI 9.0.0.198 and i find it weird that some devices would be so many updates ahead of me. Right now I am using EMUI 9.0.0.210.
Has anyone got any ideas on this or has anybody else got any updates later than EMUI 9.0.0.210?
Hi will the mate 20 lite get android 9.0 as they have it in China already ??? Thanks Danny
One question

Will be my model upgraded to EMUI 9?

Thank's
