Work profile (Android enterprise): Cannot change battery/Launch options

The Battery setting menu is different in the work profile than the one of a personal profile: the "lauch" option is not available, which means that you cannot configure if EMUI can kill or not an app that is running in background.

My problem is that we have a corporate app that needs to be running in background on a work profile, and it cannot as it gets killed after a few seconds. This does not happen on the personnal profile as we can set the app to be authorized to run in the Settings/Battery/launch menu.

How can we solve that?

Hey @eric H, welcome to the community!

To attempt fixing this we'd strongly suggest wiping the cache partition.

This will not delete your personal data.

1. Turn the device off completely.
2. Press and hold the volume up + power key at the same time, until you get into the recovery menu.
3. Select "Wipe cache partition" (navigate by using the volume keys and power button to select).
4. Confirm the action by selecting "Wipe cache partition" again.
5. At the end of this process, the recovery menu appears for the second time - select "Reboot system now".

Note: Please make sure to select Wipe cache partition, and not Wipe data/factory reset - the latter will erase all data on the internal storage of the device.
