Did you see the giant AI-powered Rubik's cube?

If you haven't seen it in real life you've probably seen it on social media! To celebrate the Mate 20 Pro launch a giant Rubik's Cube (4.6m!) was placed on the South Bank in London. Top shot Georgia Toffolo was on hand to demonstrate how the Artificial Intelligence inside the new Huawei Mate 20 Pro can solve the Rubik's Cube... one of the most iconic (and frustrating) puzzles!

Huawei’s app uses AI to optimise the number of moves required to solve the cube and outsmart the puzzle’s 43 quintillion different combinations. After the cube is initially shuffled, each subsequent move is passed through the AI model and algorithms to give the user hints, via the app, about what the best next move is.

Share your thoughts on the Artificial Intelligence below. And don't forget to mention if you ever managed to solve the Rubik's Cube yourself. 😃

The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is available to buy from Friday 26th October from all leading retailers. Take a look at our product page for more specs and details..
