You can't fail to have seen Huawei in the headlines thanks to the US claims. Now, Huawei have finally replied.

"How can we steal something they don't have?" Huawei's founder, Ren Zhengfei, tells the BBC how $20bn in R&D each year leads to real innovation and why Huawei has become so successful.

I just watched it and agree it's very interesting. I found Ren Zhengfei very likeable as a person and thought he talked lots of sense.

I identified with his philosophy of focussing on one thing and becoming good at it. He said if he was a pig farmer, he would have been good at that.

The company philosophy reminds me of Microsoft's mission statement of "constant invention and re-invention".
