Mmm... nope, ban still ongoing. From the little information available, it just seems Trump is willing to ease/soften the pressure, meaning that, for now, US companies will eventually be able to resume trading with Huawei, but not inmediately. It doesn't mention anything about Google/Microsoft or software in general, just components. In fact, there doesn't seem to be much concrete stuff, just words from Trump. Seems they would rather first discuss trade issues and leave Huawei for the end, most likely as a bargaining chip.

Than again it was to be expected, Intel & Micron had already resumed shipments of some parts to Huawei after concluding they were not "US tech". There's also the fact chipmakers were pushing to reduce pressure, which is not surprising at all. And finally, well, it would seem that, at the end of the day, the outcome will be US lifting the ban in general, after seeing how Micron's income has pretty much vanished. Broadcom had to decrease their revenue forecast by 8% with their shares taking a hit, and, ironically, the company is now potentially facing trouble in EU.

Well well then Huawei owners can stop panicking now, I own a mate 20 pro, I was not worried in the slightest, it was inevitable since the US couldn't produce any proof to their allegations.

It's all dependent on the trade talks.
So if Trump is happy then Huawei is safe.
If the talks fail I expect the message to be not to do business again.

Trump is down to earth, not a PC-minded person. Huaiwei ban is not about national security but about a bargaining chip in the US-China trade dispute.
Another example is Turkey's purchase of Russian S-400 air defence system, Trump was quick to point out during yesterday's press conference that Turkey also placed an order of over 100 F-36 fighter planes, which brings lots of money and jobs to Americans.
He feels no qualm in befriending likes of Saudi Crown prince, Putin, Kim and Erdogan, as long as it brings real benefits to him and to America.
He just met Kim, another stunt out of the ordinary.
We are living in interesting times.

People are bored with the duopoly of Android and iOS. Ark OS would be a fresh breeze.
