Kat here! Actually my real name is Katarzyna and I love to ask people to pronounce it. Living in Germany, but my name can tell you where I really come from. During the day I consume my energy at Huawei being involved in various marketing activities. After work I enjoy discovering new music, getting addicted to the songs I already know, being scared of thriller movies, cycling, geometric shapes and dreaming about South American desserts.

It iss only a start of our community but I can wait to see what's coming next.

Hi everyone my name is Tony, I'm 37 and I'm from Newcastle. I've worked in the mobile industry for 7 years now, most of that time as a Guru for O2 until recently.

I really am just a big nerd. I love everything about technology, especially writing about it - so when Huawei asked me to help them build this community I jumped at the chance. I really hope we can create something special here and on a personal note this is a great outlet for me to share my blogs.

My other hobbies include hiking, camping and photography: three things I like to combine as much as possible. Currently using the brilliant P20 Pro which gives my dedicated camera a real run for its money, my other Huawei products include the Band 2 Pro and a T3 8" tablet.

I hope that as this community grows people look at it as a place to come for inspiration and advice but most importantly as somewhere to chat to other like-minded individuals.

Hey,

I'm Arjay and ive been working in the mobile industry since 2013, starting may career as a store manager for Phones4U, moving on to work for Vodafone UK call centres. I'm currently working in our training academy, advising our new starters on a range of products and service, so therefore I have a wide knowledge of different handset models and features.

During my spare time, you'll often find me at theme parks across the country (sometimes even further afield when I get the time). You may even find me on YouTube when I used to be a dancer for a Lady GaGa tribute act for the Sky Travel channel 😉

Hi everyone,

It's been rumoured that I have had a few phones over the last 10 years. I review phones on my website and YouTube channel (gavinsgadgets) , and spent a lot of time with my Huawei P20 Pro. The camera on that phone is epic.

Another rumour is that I'm really an alien hybrid.

I live on Dartmoor National Park, and can be seen often walking with my 4 labradors.

Hi all

I'm Gordo, 32 from Greenock, Scotland.

Worked in the mobile phone industry for over 10 years, in the same call centre in Greenock. Initially it was T-Mobile, then Everything Everywhere and now EE (which I think has a better ring to it than Everything everywhere). 📱
I've served my time in various roles, but ultimately Sales is my best area.
I was one of the lucky few who went on the Huawei VIP10 trip to Iceland - "TV Man Chris! How are you fella 👍🏽"
Hoping for may for trips with you guys also 😎
Today I've became the proud owner of a P20 Pro 🙂 will set it up tonight!!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all.

We share a lot of the same hobbies pal and Scotland is the best place in the UK to do those things.

Last year I did the North Coast 500 and spent 3 days wild-camping around the Scottish coastline. Earlier this year I came back up north again and spent 3 days camping on the Isle of Skye, I took some of my best ever photos there with my Huawei P20 Pro. I cannot wait to do it again, such a beautiful place.

Hopefully in the next few months I'll be climbing Ben Nevis too.

Evening tony
My mate just back from Fort William and hiking to top of Ben nevis, he has a new P20 of which I've still to see his snaps. I'm gonna msg him to send me some, he is an avid photographer. He should actually be joining this forum soon.
Hey man you can't beat wild camping by a lovely trout stream - the fish are small but the sport is great!
Cheers Tony!

Hi there, sorry for the late joining and introduction.. I've been off ill for a bit with a cold from hell (who gets a cold in the middle of one of the hottest summers for years?!) and also enjoying the summer holidays with family while my son is off school.

Anyway, I'm a blogger with a background in journalism that started with me writing about mobile technology since the early 1990s, writing for trade and consumer newspapers and magazines, including being editor of What Mobile magazine for almost ten years.

I've consulted with manufacturers on handset design and marketing campaigns, done magazines for manufacturers and helped organise events, like annual award ceremonies.

I wouldn't even like to guess how many handsets I've reviewed in that time, but it must be many hundreds. However, in the last few years, I've moved on to take more focus (sic) in mobile photography and the network technology inside handsets, rather than simply aim to review every phone on the market.

I've become a regular user of Huawei phones (current handsets include the P20 Pro and the Mate 10 Pro) and have followed the company from the days of them producing mobile data dongles to where they are today.

Huawei has worked so hard to earn the reputation it has today, and since the Huawei P9 came onto the scene with the partnership with Leica, the company has been continuing to push the boundaries in mobile camera technology, right up to the P20 Pro we know and love today.

With the ever impressive Kirin chipsets making AI a reality rather than cheesy marketing gimmick, excellent battery life that only now the competition seem to be catching up on, customisation that doesn't slow the device down (instead it helps keep the phone running faster than rivals), great design and more affordable pricing, I am sure Huawei has a bright future ahead of it.

I'm very happy to be part of this community and to share my thoughts and views with both 'fans', and also those who may be new to the company and want some honest, impartial, advice.
